wonderful weekend

we had a wonderful weekend, just wish it would've lasted longer! Friday Bobby & I did go to the ALL YOU CAN EAT crab and it was AMAZING!! Wish we would've come across it sooner. For our big "date night" we were home by 10! Then cozied up together and watched the last 2 SVUs and went to bed.

Saturday we got up early and headed to Fargo, watched the Sioux game, spent the night at the Holiday Inn, and Mason got to go swimming! He was a little nervous at first but did great. I would put up some pics but left my camera in my sister's purse!

You would think that since Mason didn't go to bed until 11 he would sleep in... nope. he was up at 8AM. Went out for breakfast and then I did some shopping @ old navy while bobby & mason slept in the car and then we met up with Bobby's mom at the mall for lunch, before heading to Grand Forks for my cousin Andy's wedding reception!

It was a busy weekend to say the least, would be great if I had Monday off, but instead I am off for Grand Rapids at 7AM; better get some sleep!

what a week!

I am beyond ready for this week to end ... it has just been a crazy busy week @ work, and it seems like whenever that happens I come home too exhausted to do anything else, so my house gets to be a complete pit - which explains why tonight I have 3 full loads of laundry to fold & put away :(

So here is the recap of the "big happenings" at the Buzick's this week:

• ]Sunday: Bobby came home from the Final 5 - he had a blast! Got to talk with Evan Trupp who remembered who he was, got his "My Buddy & Me" shirt that I made him signed, had his picture taken with Dave Hackstol at some bar, and I even got to talk with Chay Genoway on the phone! Mason & I also went on our 1st stroller walk of the new year.
• Monday: Celebrated Bobby's 31st birthday (even though it was SUNDAY) with my parents and brother @ our house. Ordered burgers from Micks & had some carrot cake, Bobby's favorite. I made the homemade cream cheese frosting!!!
• Tuesday: Mason wasn't feeling well - coughing most of the night
• Wednesday: Dustin watched Mason for part of the day. Brought Mason to the Dr... he has another ear infection- have completely lost track but think this is #7 :(
• Thursday Just a crazy busy day @ work - Bobby gone to Fargo for work for the night

Oh, and it has been my "treat week" at work. Usually I try to bring really awesome treats but this week it has been whatever has been easiest. Been super tired this week for some reason! SO relieved tomorrow is Friday, have I said that already?!?

Have a date night planned, something a little different, mixing up the regular dinner & a movie routine! Going to Euclid, MN to the notorious "One & Only Bar" for their Friday night all you can eat crab legs. Believe it or not apparently this place gets kind of crazy some nights! Reminds me of the Gardner bar, minus the craziness :)

Been spending too much time on bhg.com looking @ decorating ideas for our house. I should really know better as I am NOT a gifted decorator! I do want to do something fun in my scrapbook room to make it more 'family' room-like. We always spend our Saturday mornings in here and just want to make it a little more inviting. . .

But I have WAY too much I should be doing than starting to look for ideas again! Better get to folding that laundry. Going to try find some mindless TV to pass the time!

busy bees!

Mason & I were 2 busy bees today; trying to keep busy while Bobby is gone to make the time go by... we love our mommy-mason time but will be happy when daddy is back! this morning we cleaned and did laundry, and then this afternoon went to Thief River since we can't cross the river to get to Grand Forks, to do some shopping @ Kmart.

You know I have always been a Target girl but lately I have been finding more and more things that I like about Kmart. Plus the GF Target has ALWAYS been out of things that I have gone there specifically to get (for example 5x7 envelopes). They are also getting to be such sticklers about receipts, which I never remember to keep! I like the Martha Stewart stuff @ Kmart, they are always less busy and have great CLEARANCE items (ok, it's junk that I can't resist buying when it is only $2!). Plus today I learned they are doing a rewards program/cash back which just encourages me to buy a whole bunch more stuff I dont need!!!

After our mini shopping spree we hit the open road (Highway 59 to be exact!) and went to my friend Katie's home to visit her and her new baby girl Bella Grace. She is such a beautiful baby! Maybe I shouldn't say "new" anymore, she is already 5 weeks old, I feel so bad I hadn't been there to visit sooner. It is always great catching up with old friends. Mason loved playing with her 2 cats, but judging by their puffy tails and hissing, I dont think the cats felt the same way!

it's been awhile since i did a *scrapjacked challenge but have been needing some creative therapy lately so I decided to play along! Here is my take!

Hope you are all wearing green - I have been pinching everyone who isn't! The main excuse that I get is that you dont have to wear green if you're not Irish - but I don't care, get in the spirit of the day!! I am so little Irish it probably doesn't even count (I think I am like 1/16th!) I have just been in an excited mood for the past 2 days - maybe it is because the SUN has been SHINING! What a difference that makes! I got a sudden burst of energy to just get things done (except for doing my spring cleaning that is!) Wanted to take Mase-dog for our first walk of the year l ast night but the stroller was in Bobby's vehicle. Hopefully tonight will be nice as well!

This past weekend was an AWESOME sioux-gopher series with the sioux winning Friday & Sunday nights. Took Mason Friday & Saturday - he really got into the spirit sporting this green wig!! I have better pics on my camera - but bobby took my camera to the game Sunday night and I haven't gotten it back yet!!!

Came home for lunch today and FINALLY got my Creating Keepsakes Magazine! I have been waiting (very im-)patiently since Saturday when my friends started getting theirs. This is the issue I am "in" (sort of). I had submitted a page I was stuck with and they chose mine to "fix." Definatley NOT as cool as being in it for a page they liked but still pretty awesome!
I am also waiting for my hand stamping kit to arrive! I ordered it MARCH 8th and it is scheduled to arrive TODAY! So I even took my lunch break a little late hoping it would be here so I could play with it, but it's not here yet :( It's going to be my next project for STL, and just for fun of course! For $23 the least it will be is cheap entertainment!

Bobby goes to the FINAL 5 this weekend (leaves tomorrow AM) - Mason and I will be HOME ALONE- thinking of heading to Fargo to see my brother & sister but am a little scared with all of this FLOOD talk of the river cresting. Dont want to a) not get there or b) get stuck there.

OOO I just heard the garage door shut - I think my package has arrived!!!

Here's my take on SPCC #38 for this week. Also been used one of the "52 Scrapbook Challenges" -- use a song lyric to inspire you. I chose "All you need is love" by the Beatles because Bobby & I have both been talking a lot that it really doesn't matter what you have/don't have -- what's most important is your family. We can get through anything with the love and support we give eachother!

Have been meaning to get around to scrapbooking ALL week and now tomorrow the weekend is already here and we have another busy HOCKEY weekend planned - but should be a GREAT time - SIOUX/GOPHER series always gets crazy at the Ralph.

older and wiser

...well not so sure about the wiser part but I'm working on it!

I had such a wonderful birthday weekend! Friday night our fAmiLy met up with our friends Corey and Alicia for dinner @ the Green Mill and on the way in I almost ran over the #3 love of my life (after Bobby and Kasey Kahne) CHAY GENOWAY in the parking lot! At least that's what Bobby told me, I never even noticed. Yikes! Oh well he was there with some prettier, YOUNGER woman anyway! :(

Saturday Mason spent the night at his grandpa and grandmas (he had such a blast!!!) and Bobby and I stayed overnight in Grand Forks. After the hockey game we even got to hang out with Bobby's #3 love of his life (after ME and Randy Moss) EVAN TRUPP! And to make a VERY long story short, by hang out I mean that I almost plowed into him leaving the bathroom at Gilly's and then asked him to follow me to the blackjack table and come say hi to Bobby because it would make his day - and he did! What a guy!

Then this AM after doing some grocery shopping (we were up by 9AM of course, can't sleep in anymore!) went to my parents to celebrate my birthday again! Got a very beautiful necklace and "52 More Scrapbooking Challenges" (which I have wanted FOREVER) from my parents. Also got two YUMMY VS perfumes from Bobby & Mason , one even with the fancy poof thing, makes me feel like a movie star! :)

THANK YOU to all of my WONDERFUL friends and family for all of the birthday wishes, it made my day!

Got quite a few things I want to checkoff on my todo list tonight, and the laundry isn't going to fold itself!

Play, eat, take a bath, read some books, go to sleep!

That is our weekday routine. Everyday the same thing it seems! Except Mason is ready to eat the SECOND we get in the door (no matter how much he ate or when his last snack was) so we have to be pretty creative in whipping up a quick dinner that is at least somewhat healthy! Tonight was spaghetti, homemade meat sauce (thank you micro-cooker!) toast and pears. We had been doing a pretty good job of at least keeping it on the tray until the bowl went flying across our white tile floor!

so excited for Bobby to come home tomorrow! He has been gone since Tuesday morning, for work. AND it is my BIRTHDAY on Saturday. The Big 2-6 (I say "the big" every year). I'm going to be over the 20's hump. More than a quarter of a centry. Closer to 3-0 than 20. But, much better than the alternative as they say!

Excited to celebrate the day on a "just the two of us" date with Bobby!!! My parents are watching the little bear for us Sat. night and then we'll go to my parents house Sunday for my birthday dinner! Another busy weekend of Sioux hockey Friday and Saturday night as well.

Better get some sleep, I have my alarm set for 6AM to workout with Jenny tomorrow... (we will see where I am at 6:15...)

watching the bachelor SEASON FINALE! I can't believe I have gotten into yet ANOTHER season of this mindless show-- whatever happened to good fashioned sitcoms like Friends?!?! I hate how it is all dramatic now - "will he pick SUGAR or SPICE?" I laughed out loud when I heard that. What is TV comong to. Either way, I hopeTenley wins - she is so sweet and just seems like "the girl next door" I think his family likes them. You know I really liked Jake last season and was bummed when he wasn't picked, but the more I see of him on tv I think he is kind of a dweeb. I will especially hate him if he picks Vienna, even though I think that is who he can pick. Men can't resist THE SPICE afterall!

Excited for Bobby to get home so we can watch Brothers & Sisters tonight... I should be putting away the 4 loads of laundry I just folded, or doing the dishes, or paying bills...but instead here I am!!!

MARCH is finally here! I have cabin fever... ready for spring to get here!
