..had to share

mason & I were "playing photostudio" (it's one of our favorite things to do) during one of the days he was home sick, and I was trying to get him to stand by his name, instead, he picked up the M and did this! I'm so glad I had my camera, he hammed it up! I tried to get him to do the same with the other letters, but it had obviously lost it's touch after the letter M

Tonight I'm trying to catch up on my photobooks I have been waiting to buy on Snapfish -- I like to do digital books of trips, Christmas and other "important" things- it takes the pressure off me to get it paper-and-pen scrapbooked! If you're planning on a big snapfish order, I found a coupon code for 35% off an order of $25 or more - it saved me $25! MTN0100 is the code, you're welcome :)

I have also been debating whether or not to buy a hand-stamping tool set... thought it might be fun to make necklaces and charms, bracelets, etc. but my scrapbook room is a disaster the way it is, I dont know if there is room for one more "project"

sickly-bies

our poor little cub has RSV -- well actually we didn't do the nose swab (ouch!) to confirm it but the doctor told us today that it is going around and he is showing all the symptoms of it. He was gone from daycare Tuesday with a fever- took him to the clinic and they said it was an ear infection... was better Wednesday then today another fever, so we took him to the clinic again, and found out a) he doesnt have an ear infection and b) most likely has rsv.... RSV can be very dangerous for little ones, so the best thing we can do is stay home and share lots of snuggles!!! the picture above was taken about 6:30 on Tuesday night, Mason was so exhausted he fell asleep on the floor in the living room during the time it took me to get his medicine and cup of milk ready!
i was looking at my calendar and realized i have not put in a full week of work since the week of January 4th! Either Mason has had dr. appts, was sick, daycare was closed, or it was a holiday... I am so lucky that my work has been SUPER flexible with me in letting me work from home as much as possible.

this weekend we were supposed to have a family safari trip with the Warren Sno-Cat club, but now it looks like only Bobby will be able to go. I am so bummed, was looking forward to taking Mason swimming @ the "famous" 7 Clans waterpark.

well - better get back to work, have lots to do!!!

ssshhh!!

what a relaxing day it has been! Mason slept in this AM, and so did I! Then we played for awhile, and Mason has been sleeping for the past hour & a half - I worked out for 1/2 hour (Jenny & I are friends again!) and then made lunch and started on dinner.

I was going to work on this project for my scrapbook room -- shown here for gift wrap but I bought an organization kit from lowes (same time I bought the counter top paint-- I have a lot of ideas it just takes me awhile to get going on DOING them!! :) ) and was going to put it above my desk in my scrap room -- however, when i went to the garage bobby had thrown the extra peg-board away! Boo! So I guess it will just have to wait another month before I go buy more pegboard!

Feeling a little bad about not making it to church this AM but since bobby is working, it just gets to be too difficult to entertain Mason the entire time, and then I end up not being able to pay attention to the sermon... but I did come across a charity website that I decided to donate to -- my friend Kristen has been posting a lot on her blog about helping out in Haiti and inspired me to do the same (although she is doing SO MUCH more than simply donating money!).

The website is Feed Starving Children - they have offices based in MN, and of course my soft spot in my heart is children so it just seemed right to me... (and P.S. the IRS says you can deduct your Haiti releif gift on your '09 or '10 taxes)

Going to try to just hang out and enjoy the rest of the day, anxiously waiting for Bobby to come home so we can hang out as a FAMILY, before back to the grind on Monday!

digi scrapping freebies

wow im getting 2 posts in today-- which means that obivously i am procrastinating on getting laundry/housework/exercising (Jenny & I had a falling out yesterday, lol) done, mason is taking his nap.... so I am looking for a bunch of digital files to download - came across a TON @ twopeas website, HERE. If the link doesn't work, at the top I just did a sort low to high and so all the free ones come up first. I refuse to pay for any digital kits because there are sooo many free ones out there. I do need to go through all of my papers that are taking up so much space on my computer, because really you just need to look at the pattern/texture, because you can change the color to whatever color you want.

I should really start to get ready - Mason & I are goign to do some shopping before the game I think to pick up fun things like wipes & diapers @ Target before the game! He is excited because we found out today his buddy Dillon and his parents Drew & Meagan will be at the game as well!

quiet moments

Again here I am writing at my new favorite time of day - right about 7:30am.. little bear is still sleeping so I can just relax and enjoy my cup of coffee and the sound of nothing in the house! Bobby left early this AM for drill in Devil's Lake. Funny how weekends we used to sleep in until at least 10AM and now even when Mason is still sleeping, we can't.

Met our friends Corey & Alicia for dinner last night, then went to the UND-UMD game and saw another great Sioux win - although I have to admit was no where near as fun as last weeks' game when we won 8-1. Hopefully they still have some momentum going tonight and we can get another win! Can't believe hockey season is already coming to an end -- besides the playoffs there is only 1 more home series-- which happens to land on my birthday weekend... nice planing WCHA!

S

Sorry kinda got off on a tangent -- on another note, for those who havent read any of my facebook notes, I got the "your shape" by Jenny McCarthy for our wii last week and I love it! Although bobby might say otherwise when he hears me yelling "what do you mean you [insert random explitive here] ?!?! I AM doing this right!!!!!" when I hear "watch your arms" or "you look like you might need a little help." Besides that, it is a lot of fun, something different every time, and even if it is just in my head, I feel stronger already!!

well better go, Mason is up and singing away!!!

stl's new look & masons new move

Trying out some new looks for my ETSY shop "Small Town Lettering" - can't decide if I lik ethe red or green better... I have redone my shop banner about 10 different times - love making the banners, maybe that should be my hobby instead...anyway... think I am going to go with the green, then maybe try to promote my shop like crazy since Mother's Day is coming up in just a few months. :)

This weekend Bobby, Mason, my parents and I went to see my grandpa in St. Cloud. It was Mason's first "big" car trip -- he did GREAT in the car! When we got to my grandpa's though all of his pent up energy surely came out! He started WALKING everywhere! He had been taking 3-4 steps at a time for awhile now, mostly from the couch to the coffee table to his toys, but this weekend he just took off! I think it probably had a lot to do with my grandparents having such an open living room - no coffee table in the middle of the room for him to hold onto. He is continuing to grow and change everyday, and everyday continues to amaze me...sometimes I STILL can't believe he is the little creature that would roll around and kick in my belly!

this old house

i have been wanting to make a scrap page of our house basically since we moved in 3 years go! Having been built in 1902, our house has so much history... most uniquely is that it served as nurse's quarters back in the 50s!
