The Questioner

i was reading my friend meagan's blog, and she had came across this cute personality test called an ENNEAGRAM; here are my results... it kind of actually suprised me how accurate it was!

6 - the Questioner - your Enneagram type is SIX (aka "The Loyalist").
"I am affectionate and skeptical"
Questioners are responsible, trustworthy, and value loyalty to family, friends, groups, and causes. Their personalities range broadly from reserved and timid to outspoken and confrontative.

What's Hard About Being a SIX
the constant push and pull involved in trying to make up my mind
procrastinating because of fear of failure; having little confidence in myself
fearing being abandoned or taken advantage of
exhausting myself by worrying and scanning for danger
wishing I had a rule book at work so I could do everything right
being too critical of myself when I haven't lived up to my expectations
SIXes as Children Often
are friendly, likable, and dependable, and/or sarcastic, bossy, and stubborn
are anxious and hypervigilant; anticipate danger
form a team of "us against them" with a best friend or parent
look to groups or authorities to protect them and/or question authority and rebel

baby shopping!!!

I am beginning to think that I dont know if I can wait until February to have little Mason! I am already getting so exited to meet the little guy! Over the weekend Bobby & I got to spend time with his side of the family- we got to see all of our little newphews and neices-- they are all growing up so fast! Brea just turned 1 on August and Cole turns 1 at the end of October - they are so cute and are both just wonderful babies-- it sure doesn't make waiting any easier for me!

So while I've been on hold with people today at work, I have been updating our baby registry. Bobby told me I should wait to start buying a crib and "big things" because when Mason's room is all ready, it is just going to make me that much more impatient!!!

I'm also thinking Mason is going to be a good shopping partner when he gets bigger because every time that I see something I really like, he starts kicking around! MAYBE it is a coincidence, but I like to think it's not :)

Its a boy!!!

We found out on Monday that we are having a baby MASON! Bobby was just ecstatic in the ultrasound room-- he wanted a baby boy so badly! I dont know what it is about guys and their wanting a miniture version of themselves :) Everything on the ultrasound was good -- Mason is growing along just like he should be; he sure is starting to kick around a lot! It is such an amazing feeling. Everyone who I had talked to before was always saying what a strange and unique feeling it is to feel the baby move inside you, but words really cannot describe what an amazing feeling it is!

Between knowing that we are having a boy and actually being able to feel him move around and kick, it has really made everything seem so much more real to me. I was always exicted, but since Monday, I have been going NUTS looking for baby things and wanting to get his room all in order!! I can't wait until February!!!

SO excited!

AAA-- it's 12:08 and I cannot stay focused at work! In less than 2 hours bobby & I will be at the clinic having our ultrasound and finding out if we are having a baby Mason or a baby Mia! Either way, we are going to be so thrilled but I just think that actually being able to give 'baby' a name will make it seem THAT much more real! I have been talking to him/her all morning long begging him/her to please cooperate today-- I have been getting kicks back so I hope that is a good sign!!!

aaa maternity clothes!!!

I did it-- I finally bought a pair of maternity jeans-- aaa!!! On Thursday, Bobby & I went shopping and I bought my first maternity outfit-- nothing spectacular, just a pair of jeans & long sleeved shirt from Old Navy. Although I can somewhat still try to fit into my old jeans-- these are acutally much more comfortable-- now I wear them around all the time!!

pictures!

Here are just a few pics from our trip to NYC! We had so much fun, it's hard being back home knowing that I have to go back to work Friday. I loved our entire trip, but some of the highlights were:
  • Going to Shea stadium for a doube-header Mets game, and getting my picture taken with Chipper Jones (even though he is not quite as good loooking as David Wright, I still thought he was cute enough to take a picture with!)
  • Touring and going to the top of the Empire State Building
  • Going on a carriage ride through Cenral Park
  • Seeing Phantom of the Opera on Broadway (well, it was actually 44th street)

One disappointment I had, however, was learning that the fountain seen on FRIENDS (you know the one in Central Park where they are all dancing in the beginning?) is a REMAKE of the one in Central Park. So, even though Bobby & I have our pics taken by "the" fountian, it is NOT the one they used on FRIENDS. In fact, the ENTIRE show (except the pics of the Museum of History) was all done in LA.

Here is my album of more trip pictures on my facebook

home from NYC

Well, not quite. I am using Bobbys computer sitting at the mpls. airport waiting to get home. while it was SOOO nice to get away for "one last" vacation before we become a family of 3(!) it is also nice to be getting back home. Neither of us have to be back to work until FrIDaY! I thought I brought with my USB cord to put some pictures up already but I guess pics will have to wait until another day.

Next Monday is probably going to be the only Monday I have ever looked forward to [at least in a while] -- Bobby & I are finding out if we are having a little BOY or a little GIRL!!! Then after, we are heading straight out to do some baby shopping--something I have been anxiously waiting for!
