Well, not quite, but I'm still golfing every Tuesday! I was SO excited last Tuesday because I went from hitting an 80 to only a 60!!!! I know that a 60 still isn't even close to AMAZING but, it is for me!!! When I make it to the PGA, I promise Sam & Amanda that I will remember you & all of your pointers and patience you've had with me! :)
Happy Birthday America! Over the 4th, Bobby and I got to spend the day with some of our best friends drew, meg, jay, tracey, tj & crystal! we had so much fun RELAXING on the boat all afternoon long on Lake Munson (drinking my BUSH N/A beer w/meagan of course!), and then we headed to Pelican Lake to see the annual 4th of July fireworks show. This is the 3rd year we have gone to see them, and each year they are just as awesome as the year before. We are so thankful that drew & meagan are so kind and let us come share their boat and stay at their beautiful home each year. thanks guys!
so tonight bobby is gone to fargo and i am sitting at my house watching "Army Wives" on lifetime. I've never watched the show before, but i think i am a new fan! it is going to take me awhile to get to know all the characters and i might have to rent season 1 so i can get caught up on all that i've missed. i am pretty sure i should really be walking on my treadmill right now but jefferson looks like he is so comfortable laying on my lap between me and my computer. :)
that is all i have been doing all week long it seems!!! I finally got around to painting my kitchen which is something I have been wating to do for over a year now. I am actually really happy with how it turned out! I still need to put everything back how it was, but I was too excited to wait to take pictures!
On Tuesday, I went golfing for the very first time in my life! I went with my friends Samantha and Amanda-- I am so thankful that they are as patient as they are, and also thankful that they let me only count how many times I actually hit the ball, not how many actual swings I took :) I'm bummed that I forgot my camera but our "new thing" is that we are going to go every Tuesday so I will put on more pictures next time.
Thursday was a very important day for us this week; bobby got promoted to SERGEANT FIRST CLASS!!! I got a call from his boss on Tuesday asking me if I could take off work for a few hours Thursday morning as there was 'something special' going on at bobby's office. The Colonel even flew in via helecoptor from Bismark to present Bobby with his new rank-- E7! My family came, and so did a few of bobby's friends from work. It was so awesome to see how many people came to support and congratulate bobby. I was even presented with a beautiful boquet of flowers!
I am so proud of bobby- he always gives 110% in everything he does.
Last weekend Bobby & I went to St. Cloud to stay at the VICTORIAN OAKS bed & breakfast (or b&b as people 'in the know' call it). It was so great to just get away for a weekend, and we had so much fun!!! we arrived around 6pm. we had never been to a "b&b" before so we had no clue what to do! we toured the home, which was built in the early 1900s and had all victorian furnishings...our room was the St. George Suite & had a walk-out porch that overlooked the front lawn. even the bathroom was designed to look how it would in the early 1900s.
since we didnt know what else to do- bobby & i went out for a few drinks downtown and then brought back a bottle of wine to our room and ordered pizza and watched movies, and exchanged presents we had bought eachother.
the next morning we awoke to a wonderful breakfast of scrambled eggs, asparagus, and fetta cheese (yes all mixed together-- it was actually great!), along with rum-lit yogurt and fruit. yum yum!
we liked it so much that we decided that we are going to try to make it an annual event!
